Despite a suspicious odor scare, the early voting site in Seminole County was cleared by Hazmat teams and remains open

At an early voting site in Seminole County, a hazmat problem was reported, which led to an investigation by the local government.

The alarm was set off because of a strange smell near the voting booth at the Seminole County Public Library. The Seminole County Fire Department arrived quickly.

WESH says that the fire department went to the library at 215 N. Oxford Rd. to look into the possible chemical danger.

The fire officials stated that they did not find any signs of chemical substances or dangers after a careful inspection.

To be safe, though, all 14 workers who were there were physically checked out.

Later, the same station said that one poll worker had to go to the hospital because of high blood pressure. This shows how tense it is in places that are important to our democracy, even when threats turn out to be false alarms.

The Casselberry Police Department and the Sanford County Sheriff’s Office stepped in after a warning about a “possible exposure incident” was sent out, adding another layer to the situation. From what I have heard, the emergency forces worked very quickly and effectively to secure the scene. FOX 35 Orlando said that no one was hurt, and the event is still being looked into.
