The first Souls To Polls event in Levy County was held

Taking souls to the polls has been a way to vote in many places for a long time. Levy County held its first-ever polling place event, which is meant to get more people to vote.

These days, there are more candidates on the ballot than ever before. Some people in the community thought it was the best time to get to know other people in the community before going to the polls.

People in our area are really being urged to pay attention to the local polls. The head of the MLK committee, Gussie Boatwright, said, “Let’s start at home and then worry about Washington.”

There’s more to this event than just voting. It’s about getting the community together and making sure everyone has a say in what happens next.

“We value our vote and our voice so much, and we never want to speak out without all the facts.” “So even if we think we know everything there is to know about an issue, it can make a huge difference to learn more about it and hear both sides,” preached Johnnie Jones.

The last day to vote early in Levy County is November 3rd.

People need to go vote because this is likely one of the most important elections we will ever have. “Go vote, and let your vote be your voice. Your voice is your power,” Boatwright said.

Tuesday, November 5th, is the last day you can officially cast your vote.
