One guy was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Orange County this morning. Police are looking for the car that was involved. The Florida Highway Patrol told WFTV that the accident happened at 6:48 a.m. near Sandy Creek Lane and East Colonial Drive.
The victim, a man whose name has not been released yet, was standing on the grassy side when he was hit by the car, which has been identified as a possible Toyota Camry from 2004 to 2015.
Troopers told WFTV that the car should have damage to the front grill, front headlights, and front windshield. After the crash, police found a piece of the car that might have been connected to the other car.
The Camry’s driver left the scene of the accident, leaving the victim, who was declared dead at the scene, alone. The driver is still being looked for, and the police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Officials from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) have asked the public to help with the investigation by calling 407-737-2213 or 800-423-TIPS.
