A person was recently caught by the San Mateo Police Department for allegedly having drugs and an unregistered gun. This happened after officers were told of the person’s strange behavior.
A press statement from the San Mateo Police Department says that on the evening of Tuesday, November 12, there was a call about a disturbance on the 500 block of South Norfolk Street.
They said the person who reported the disturbance might be high, so cops looked into it.
When police arrived, they saw the person acting strangely in front of a house. Handcuffs were used to keep Cabrera safe by the police.
During this process, they allegedly found a gun in his pants pocket that was loaded. The gun was taken away by police.
Officers talked to a witness and did an evaluation, which led them to the conclusion that the person was high on a controlled drug.
Police are said to have found extra bullets for the gun and a plastic bag with what they think is cocaine inside for the search. It was also found that the person did not have a gun registration.
After being identified, the person was taken to the San Mateo County jail and booked on suspicion of being high on a controlled drug, having a controlled substance on them, and carrying a loaded gun.
