‘Mass Swatting Incident Targets Moraga’s Campolindo High School, Other Bay Area Schools’

Police were called to Moraga’s Campolindo High School on Tuesday because of a specific threat of an armed person on campus. Officers searched the school thoroughly before finding that other schools in the area had also been threatened over the phone.

Both threats were similar in that they said there was a certain student on school who was angry and had a certain kind of weapon and planned to hurt someone.

When the threat was made, school officials in Moraga moved right away, working with police in Lamorinda and other outside groups who came to help deal with the threat.

This site was able to connect to dozens of panicked callers who saw a lot of police on campus. In the end, no threat was found, and a look at the school records showed that the fake caller’s name did not belong to any Campolindo students.

In the end, police found that the call was part of a planned campaign of swatting meant to get police involved. Schools in Piedmont, Palo Alto, and Cupertino all got calls like this on Tuesday.
