Four pistols that were illegally possessed were discovered by officers of the Hayward Police Department during a routine traffic stop that was conducted for an equipment violation.
According to the Hayward Police Department, the search of the vehicle and subsequent arrests for a variety of weapons-related offenses were prompted by the fact that some of the people who were inside the vehicle were eligible for probation that had search clauses.
The smart strategies employed by the officers ensured that the firearms were recovered without incident, according to the agency.
Residents were urged to report any knowledge of unlawfully owned firearms to the local authorities by the Hayward Police Department, which underlined the significance of community involvement in the process of maintaining safety.
Together, we can remove illegally owned firearms off the streets and keep our communities safe,” according to the law enforcement agency.
