Tonight, a new round of rain is coming to the Bay Area. The hardest rain is expected to pass through by late Monday morning. Light to moderate rain, which is good for the area, will keep falling until Monday night.
At the end of the day on Sunday, the skies were mostly clear, and the temperature was mild, running from the upper 50s east to the mid-70s west. The rain system is still out at sea, and by Monday afternoon, it should have brought mild rain.
There may be a few light showers tonight, but the main rain event will start on Monday with a front. Even though the air is a little unstable, thunderstorms are not likely to happen. The only places where thunder might happen are near the coast and in the North Bay. Later this week, there will be more rain to come.
