A second woman was taken by the Sanford Police Department in connection with the shooting that killed someone and was live-streamed on social media.
On November 5, Lakevia Davonna Pringle, 31, killed Lauren Ashley Martin. She has been arrested and will be charged with murder.
According to the cops, Pringle was at the fight that she live-streamed on social media. During the live stream, Pringle can be heard telling Tyler to keep fighting, which is what cops say led to Lauren’s death.
The Sanford Police Department said they are looking for a second person they think may have been involved in Lauren Martin’s death.
Police have charged Lakevia Pringle, who they say live streamed and could be heard supporting Savon Chantay Tyler.
Police say Pringle has not been found and has not cooperated with detectives.
After talking to the State Attorney’s office, investigators in Sanford said they have enough proof to charge Pringle with one count of Principle in the first degree to first degree premeditated murder. A warrant has been issued for Pringle’s arrest.
The Sanford Police Department wants you to call them if you know where Pringle is.
The murder happened on Travertine Terrace in Sanford on Tuesday night around 7 p.m. Channel 9 got video that only shows the moment when that shooting happened.
In the video, a woman is seen approaching someone while carrying what looks like a baseball bat for kids. Things then get worse. There will be more fighting until at least one shot is fired.
Police say the shooter is 35-year-old Tyler. She is charged with first-degree planned murder and will stay in jail without bond. Lauren Ashley Martin, the victim, died in the hospital a few hours later.
Police say the shooting took place in a gated neighborhood on Travertine Terrace in Sanford, where Tyler lives.
In this case, Channel 9 also got the police record. The paper shows that the person who is accused of shooting put the gun on top of an electric utility box before the fight, which was a key factor in the death of the victim.
When someone is charged with first-degree murder, they could get the death sentence. It also means that if you don’t get the death penalty, you could get life in jail, said criminal lawyer Adam Pollack.
The fight was shown live online, and the expert said that the person who was filming it could also be in big trouble.
“There is a good chance that the person who was filming was actively taking part in this,” Pollack said. “There could also be criminal charges against this person, maybe even first-degree murder charges.” The woman who recorded the fight has not been charged yet.
