In the Bay Area, people are still looking for someone who looks like Zendaya, a movie star who was born in Oakland. A picture of a flyer shared on Reddit says that this week there is a competition for people who look like Zendaya.
The race is set for Wednesday, November 20, at 12:30 p.m. at Oakland’s Wilma Chan Park. There is a $40 cash prize and Carol’s Daughter Shampoo and Conditioner as prizes.
There is a QR code on the flyer that leads to a Partiful event page for the event. As of Sunday night, the Possible event page said that one person was sure to go and three others were marked as “maybe.”
Zendaya went to Oakland School for the Arts, which is where the event is taking place. People know that the famous star gives back to her community. She gave $100,000 to an East Bay theater in February.
The Zendaya competition isn’t the first one in the Bay Area to see people who look like famous people. This month, there was a contest in Dolores Park in San Francisco to see who looked most like star Dev Patel. Reports say that hundreds of people watched the event.
A similar game was held in New York City for actor Timothée Chalamet. Tens of thousands of people competed and watched. Chalamet even showed up in real life.
Are you sure Zendaya will be in Oakland? It looks like you’ll have to go to the event to find out.
