Woman who fell into a planter at Walt Disney World while drunk was arrested after declaring “I want to go to jail”

A new report from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office says that Kaiser, 46, of Lake Worth, was arrested on September 28 for being drunk and disorderly at the popular outdoor shopping and dining center at Walt Disney World.

The criminal case was over when the state attorney’s office decided not to press charges on October 21.

Hal Uhrig, Kaiser’s lawyer, said the cops wrongly arrested her and that she was only detained because she made them angry and took up too much of their time.

“The deputy was wearing a body camera that caught the real event.” The lawyers did not have to rely on the Deputy’s thoughts and “observations.” They could see and hear for themselves. “They chose not to go to court because of the law and the facts,” Uhrig said in a statement.

Uhrig said Kaiser had to be both drunk and putting other people or property in danger in order to break state law.

Uhrig said, “Ms. Kaiser never put anyone or anything in danger.” He also said, “She had a cut on her arm, and there is no explanation for how she got hurt.”

The police said Kaiser was making a scene at Disney Springs before she was caught.

According to Kaiser’s Orange County Sheriff’s arrest report, a witness said she “appeared drunk, had already fallen in a planter, and was verbally disturbing guests.”

During her arrest, Kaiser was said to have glassy eyes, be angry, smell like booze, and speak slowly.

However, Uhrig said it was biased and used strong language that did not show Kaiser was drunk.

“The smell of alcohol is not proof that someone is drunk.” If your blood alcohol level is less than.05, Florida law says you should be able to drive safely. The Florida Legislature says you are not drunk, even though you will smell like youd been drinking.

Police also like to use “glassy eyes,” but Uhrig said that “glassy eyes” are not a sign of being drunk. “Our deputy says he heard’slurred speech,’ but as far as we know, he never heard Ms. Kaiser’s ‘normal (unslurred) voice,’ either before or after she was arrested.”

A police report said Kaiser was also fighting with people at Disney Springs, both customers and workers.

Inside the arrest record, the deputy wrote, “I saw Ms. Kaiser bothering two customers who were trying to get around the business area.”

The sheriff’s office stepped in and told Kaiser to get medical help for a cut on her right elbow and be checked out near the Coca-Cola Store. A police report said they also wanted her to get a ride off of Disney Springs.

“Ms. Kaiser was angry and rude again, and she started swearing at staff and firefighters who were trying to help.” She kept saying, “F*** you, take me to jail,” at one point.

The police report said, “I want to go to jail.” “In spite of many attempts to find an alternative, the nature of the disturbance on site, and the large number of business and emergency personnel who were called, Ms. Kaiser was arrested for Disorderly Intoxication.”

They put handcuffs on her and took her to the Orange County Jail. They also told Walt Disney World in Orange County that she had broken in.

Her lawyer said, “She was just taking up too much of their valuable time.” “The deputy says they tried to take her off the property for her safety, but they never told her to leave,” We will never know if she could have legally left. She was arrested for swearing at police and losing too many important resources.
